Short, sweet and to the very hard point, readers will truly love this hot and steamy read. 46 pages filled with steam, lust, blood and quite possibly love.

Janna has been having feelings for her brothels' dark and mysterious client, Hugh, ever since the first time he set foot on her doorstep. She has also had suspicions on what he truly was. But like with most women, she keeps this to herself for fear of rejection. When her feelings do finally come out, that may not be the only thing 'coming'.

This spurs Janna to play voyeur one night to witness Hugh fondling and biting a girls neck, confirming Janna’s suspicions that Hugh is a Vampire. But instead of this repulsing her, it turns her on, leading her to pleasure herself while in her hiding spot. The next week, Janna makes sure she is the only one available for Hugh, and she finds out that Hugh has wanted her all along, that he knows all about her and the hurtful things being said about her because of her mixed Indian heritage. He also admits that he has never slept with any of the other women; it was her he wanted all along. This book was well written even though it was short. This is an Erotica book, but the romance shines through and I was rooting for the two to have a happily ever after, and I admit I wanted Hugh myself by the end of the story!"

Review:
This was a short story but was very entertaining. I hesitate to say much because I don't want to reveal too much of the story and ruin it for you. We'll give this a shot.... Meet Jana Cutting, a madam that runs a brothel in London. We also have Hugh de Troyes who comes in each week when the brothel is closed. He chooses his girl, goes into a room, does what he needs to do and this is his pattern each week. Jana is wildly attracted to him and wishes it was she that he chose each week. She feels unworthy due to her Indian parenting and so is not the pasty white that is all the rage and is instead a warm brown. Needless to say, things eventually heat up but I shant give too much away. That's for you to find out!!! The only complaint I have is this is too darn short. It would have been cool if it was more storyline, more plot. I still liked it though.

The Vampires Madam by L.Rosario is an erotic vampire story. I enjoyed the story and thought the characters were fantastic. The story took place in an fascinating time, and place. It certainly didn’t end the way I initially expected it to. The story was hot and very sexy!! I would have loved to keep reading about the Janna and Hugh, I felt like it ended too soon, that is the only reason why I gave it a 4.

"An amazingly well written, structured, smoking hot and fabulously erotic quick read!!

I was waiting patiently for it to be published but was out of the country with poor internet connection. Upon my return I devoured it on the train.

Glorious! Sizzling hot! Wonderful imagery! Fabulous story!
L.Rosario takes you right inside the story, immersing you in the action, I'm in awe of her ability to do that in such short story.

I have to say I was "pretty much useless" and unable to concentrate after reading The Vampire's Madam, it took me a while to come back down to earth!

Janna & Hugh are beautiful characters, we see glimpses into their history, enough to allow us to emotionally connect with them but the story is not prolonged by this insight, a perfect piece of writing.

Again sizzling hot, immensely enjoyable read! I adore L.Rosario's work, such a fan....when is the next one?

ps I have to say when I read The Vampire's Madam I couldn't see anyone other than her muse as Hugh and that in no way detracted from my enjoyment of the story...quite the opposite in fact, believe me this story played out in glorious techni-colour in my head...amazing!"

My thoughts: This movie is BRILLIANT!!! Not only is the animation stunning and unlike any other movie I've seen, the characters are unique, the plot is involved and the whole thing just ends up being a weird, dark, sometimes creepy, sometimes crude adventure that I look forward to seeing again. I don't recommend this for young kids even though it's rated PG. Should be PG-13, if you ask me.

Back in June 2010 there were rumblings of a TV adaptation of Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches books possibly being on its way, but nothing came of them. Now, however, things are starting to look up for fans of the series that began in 1990 with The Witching Hour and continued with Lasher and Taltos.

According to USA Weekend, James Duff, one of the creators of "The Closer" for TNT, is working on bringing Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches to television. The author herself commented on her Facebook page, "Yes, James Duff is certainly trying to do this, and I'm totally behind him on it and want to see it sail."

We'll be keeping a close eye on this one because even though this writer is a huge fan of Rice's vampire novels, the Mayfair Witches are also near and dear to my heart, and this is one adaptation I've been waiting years for!

For those not in the know, the following is a synopsis of The Witching Hour:

The first in the Mayfair Witches series, The Witching Hour introduces the fictional Mayfair family of New Orleans, generations of male and female witches. This is a tight-knit and deeply connected family, where a death of one strengthens the others with his/her knowledge. One Mayfair witch per generation is also designated to receive the powers of "the man," known as Lasher. Lasher gives the witches gifts, excites them, and protects them. Unsure as to exactly what this spirit is, the Mayfair clan knows him variously as a protector, a god-like figure, a sexual being, and the image of death. Lasher's current witch is Deirdre, who lies catatonic from psycological shock treatments.

Deirdre's daughter, Rowan, has been spirited away from this "evil" and has happily become a neurosurgeon and has an uncanny gift to see the intent behind the facade. Rowan also has a gift few doctors possess--she can heal cells. Yet, though she uses it to save lives, she also fears that she has caused several deaths. She rescues Michael from drowning. Michael then develops some extraordinary powers that compel him to seek New Orleans and to seek Rowan. He finds both and pulls the tale closer together by meeting people connected to the Mayfair family who now fear Rowan because she is the first Mayfair who can kill without Lasher's help.

Michael dives into learning the history of the Mayfair witches: Deborah, Charlotte, Mary Beth, Stella, Antha, and many others across hundreds of years and three continents. When Michael looks up from his reading, he learns that Rowan has come to New Orleans to attend her mother's funeral. Rowan learns of her family history, her ancestral home in shambles, and Lasher waiting for the next one. Rowan dedicates herself to stopping Lasher's reign. Michael, too, has his own mission, but it is foggy and unclear to him. But Lasher is seductively powerful, and Rowan's gifts offer him the opportunity to achieve his ultimate goal.

My review: I was lucky enough to be able to read an Advanced Copy of this book and it blew me away! It's so clever!! I was skeptical at first about the whole zombie hero thing, but I fell in love with Bram and had no problem understanding why Nora loved him as well. Lia Habel's execution of this story is flawless and you'll instantly be swept into the bizarre, yet intriguing world of New Victoria, where the women wear gowns, the men come calling and the gadgets range from holoprojectors to digidiaries. And don't let the Young Adult tag put you off. This book is a must read for anyone and everyone who loves romance, adventure and a damn good story!!! I can't wait for book 2!

Jane Austen manuscript sells for $1.6 million

LONDON (AP) — An unfinished early Jane Austen manuscript sold at auction in London on Thursday for almost 1 million pounds ($1.6 million), triple its highest pre-sale estimate.

The draft of "The Watsons" sold for 993,250 pounds ($1.601 million). The price includes a buyer's premium.

The auction house said the document sold to an anonymous buyer after extended four-way bidding in the salesroom.

The incomplete work is the earliest surviving manuscript for a novel by Austen, probably written in 1804 but not published in Austen's lifetime.

It centers on a family of four sisters, the daughters of a widowed clergyman

Sotheby's books specialist Gabriel Heaton said the heavily corrected draft "has afforded an extremely broad audience an insight into the author's writing process and reworkings."

Sotheby's says it is the only major manuscript by the author still in private hands.

Austen published six novels, including "Pride and Prejudice," and died in 1817 at age 41, but none of the original manuscripts survives.

Legend Quest - a new SyFy show premiering Wednesday July 13 @ 10pm est.

This fast-paced action-adventure series follows symbologist Ashley Cowie as he travels the world in search of some of history's greatest and most mysterious artifacts. There aren't too many books I call PERFECT, but this one certainly fits the bill. It is book 2 in the Drake's Rakes series and book 1, BARELY A LADY, was just as exemplary. Ms. Dreyer has a winning series and I can't wait for number 3!!

My thoughts:
Hmmm not exactly a movie that you jump up afterwards and say, "wow, great movie!" It was intense, that's for sure and it managed to avoid falling into the absurd, despite its demonic possession plot. Anthony Hopkins once again gives a captivating performance, but hey, he's Anthony Hopkins!! The rest of the cast is superb as well. I really liked Colin O'Donoghue who plays Michael Kovak. He was very believable as he struggled with his lack of Faith.
It's not a movie for the feint of heart, but it is a movie that will have you wondering about the fine line between psychosis and possession. You might even ask yourself, "What do I believe?"
